Perfect?

I just wanted to blog on the purpose of my blog. I love posting fun things I do with my family but sometimes I think it may seem like life is so perfect all the time. This is not true. I usually post positive things and use my journal for the frustrations in life. I hope we don't look at others blogs and think I wish my life was as perfect as theirs. We all have our heartache in life. When I look at my blog it helps me forget the trials I have and think more positive.

Tutus and Cupcakes:-)

I was looking at my blog and it looks like I love cakes I think that has been my last 5 posts. I had my grandkids and niece over for a sleepover. I taught them how to do a cupcake bouquet. I think the did a great job. I love all the colors.
This is Noelle my niece, she really did well for never doing this before. I love her to come over. Kaili, Ku'uipo and Noelle's birthdays are within 13 days of each other.

I taught them how to do little tutus for their hair, I didn't have enough material for them to be bigger. That will be next time. I Love to teach kids to do fun things, the boring things are for their parents lol:-)
Beautiful Ipo just like you:-)
Kaili I love it!!!! Kaili is so much like me, we are afraid to make a mistake. If there is one thing that I hope I can teach her is there is no such thing as perfect. I had a great college teacher that taught us that art is an expression of yourself, so the kids cuts things a little crocked and the lines don't match up so what. He also said if you decide to do a preschool don't do parent pleasers. I really tried to instill this in my grandkids. I guess it's like what Mr. Rogers use to say "I like you just the way you are".

Baby Hamburgers & Cupcake Bouquet:-)

I made this for Mary's birthday, that's my Stacie's sister-in-law.
I love making these they make me soo happy!!!

I found this cute Hamburger in a magazine. It's made with cookies ( grasshoppers for meat & vanilla wafers for the buns), frozen orange juice, (brush on orange juice onto vanilla wafers and sesame seeds will stick) gummy candy for pickles and tomatoes, coconut for lettuce,( dye green with food coloring) and yellow and red frosting for ketchup and mustard. Really easy. The kids had a lot of fun making them.
This would be fun to take to a barbecue. I didn't take a pic of my hot dogs but they are also very easy.

Stacie's Big Purse!!

I always tease Stac about her big purse. Kya fits perfect in this purse, so Stac use this for her, the diaper bag and your purse lol. I know to a lot of you out there this is not big but to me it's huge. My girls tease me because I keep the same purse until it falls apart and I have 3 to 4 things in it.

I know Kya you don't like it anymore then I do lol.

Cute Daddy & Kya:-)

Brittnie your hair, make up, and smile are perfect for me to put it on my blog:-) I usually have to get them approved to put them on my blog.

Aja's 4 Years Old!!!

I'm really late posting this, Aja turned 4 June 15. Aja wanted a princess cake, so what Aja wants Aja gets lol. Aja has the most beautiful eyes. It's hard to tell but they are really deep blue.
What a cute Pic:-)

Aja had a Build-A-Bear party. It was so much fun the kids all got to pick out what animal they wanted. I'm really not a stuffed animal person but this was really fun for the kids.

Aja picked out a Hello Kitty. She looks so little here and it has only been 1 1/2 months. I love you Aja and I hope you had a really fun birthday:-) Love, Nana

Alaska 2009!!!!

The Alaska group of 2009. Kevin, Mike, Donnie, Margret, Don, Kenny and Art. Thanks, Art & Margret for all the wonderful memories.
Kenny (Kevin's dad) with his first King Salmon. He looks so cute:-)

Kev, with his first King of the season.

All five of the guys caught Kings within 5 hours, the locals said they haven't be able to catch any this year and they come and catch their limit lol. The biggest one is Mike's.

Kev and his Dad, what a great memory for the both of them. I love how they all bond during this trip. I hope next year Jason will go with them.
