Girls Night!!

As you can see my grand kids thinks it's funny to make me look as ugly as possible. They were so cute they kept telling me oh Nana you are going to be beautiful, then they would all laugh quietly. That's what I love about grand kids I feel so carefree. I would have never let my kids do this to me.

We made these really fun cupcakes with a lot of different colors.

I love all the bright colors:-)

All the girls had a different color of batter and took turns putting their color in. What a fun night!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

We had the kids over for St. Patrick's Day dinner it was so fun:-) I love doing these things for the kids.
The girls had a really good time together. Don told the girls if they take their balloons outside sometimes they can fly, so Ku'uipo stood on a chair and acted like she was going to fly and Sasha started screaming and ran inside and told us she didn't want Ku'uipo to fly away. They say the cutest things.

Keo and his funny smile LOL. They are all getting so big. Keee'Onu will be 10 and Keo will be 6 on April 12th. I love how they are brothers and have the same birthday.

I made them each a pot of gold. I cut the limes and put little squares of jello in them, I found this on the Internet and thought it was really cute:-)

Then for dessert we had green cake and green mint ice cream. I will always treasure these times with my grand kids. I hope they can have the memories that my kids had with my mom. My kids still will bring up different things my mom did with them.

Kaili's Baptism :-)

I love these pictures right before the kids are baptized, they look so sweet:-) This is Wayne her grandpa (Jason's dad) he baptized Kaili.
Don confirmed Kaili. Kaili was so excited for this day to come, she waited an extra month so I could be there because of my surgery.

They all look so cute. I'm so blessed to have such great parents for my grand kids. I pray Kaili will always remember this day. I really don't want the kids to get older this is such a sweet age.

Don't tell Branson he is on my blog LOL, he doesn't like me to take his picture, let alone to display it. I couldn't resist this is a really cute picture.

Wow, I didn't realize that Ku'uipo was that much taller then Kaili. They are such sweet cousins. I'm so happy all my grand kids are growing up together, I consider this one of my greatest blessings for me and them. Congratulations Kaili!! Love, Nana

Happy Birthday to My Sweet Baby Girl!!

This is my cute baby girl Brittnie Dawn Evans Ackerman born Feb. 28, 1981, 8lbs 9 ozs 21". She had the chubbiest cheeks and the cutest nose.
Brittnie was such a happy baby this picture shows exactly what she was like. She had the prettiest olive skin.

Ok, I know the hair wasn't the best but it was the 80's. Brittnie was my sweetest kid always wanting lots of hugs and kisses. Brittnie also talked a lot not leaving out one detail LOL. What a blessing she has been in my life. I love you Brittnie, Happy Birthday!!

Prayers for my Baby Girls

This is my newest grand baby, It's a Girl!! Stacie had a doctor appointment yesterday and they finally found out it was a girl. I kind of knew it was a girl these last few weeks, because in all Don's prayers he kept saying "she." Well this is the happy news! I'm not a person that likes to tell long stories, but I will this time.
Before Stacie's apt. yesterday she took Keo to his apt. to see if he needed surgery on his broken collar bone, and luckily he looks great and is healing fine! After the appointment they went and met Don for lunch and then went to Smith's. She went to the bathroom and found she was bleeding, it scared her very much so she went to her doctor appointment quite early. They did an ultrasound and then met with the doctor. They said that her placenta was possibly tearing away, which is not good. They decided to admit her to the hospital. They were trying to get her to make all these decisions about what to do about her and the baby without Kevin. I just had back surgery so I was of no help. Kev finally got there and they told them they will do nothing to save the baby until she is 24 weeks, which is not until Saturday. I pray that they both will be OK. Please pray for them.
I also need you to pray for Brittnie she will be having surgery on her foot on the 20th. I will again be of no help because of my back, but I know prayers are what will help the most.
Thank You so Much to all my friends and family that has done such nice things for me since my surgery. I cannot wait to pay it forward!!! Love Ya, Cindy

It's Finished!!!!

We are finished, well there are little things. The camera didn't do a very good job I think the setting were wrong but you will get the idea. I had to post the ones I had, because I will be having surgery tomorrow. I hope it will feel like I just got a new back LOL.
This is part of the entry.

This is our fireplace redone. Granite is on the bottom, the rock is the same as in the kitchen, and I painted the mantel a dark rich brown. I know there is gold on the fireplace doors, I was going to paint them black but I think I like the contrast.

I love the family room without the burgundy carpet!! I will be getting rid of some of the furniture in this room.

It's so hard to see how pretty this is.

This is Don's favorite area. I love the pull out spice racks.

I have really loved the extra oven, thanks to everyone that talked me into it.

This is the living room, it's feels so warm now.

The other part of the living room. I love the wood on the stairs.

This is the formal dinning. It has been a lot of fun to have, we are back to dinner with the fam every Sunday!! I really love having everyone over now.
My laundry room.

This is the main bath ( Branson's) I didn't think I would like the vessel sink, but I really do.

This is the guest room.

The master bedroom. I can't say that these 10 months have been fun, but I can say I am very happy we are finished!! Contractors are one of a kind, one thing you can depend on is that they will always keep you guessing. A few sayings that I heard from contractors are: " They delivered the wood to the wrong address" " Wow this is a lot more work than I thought" Oh and my favorite! "I way under bid this job". I have learned a lot I don't think I would redo a house all at once while living in it, but at least it's all done at once. I have to thank Stacie Hanson for all the things she has done for us during this job, dinners, ice, her shoulder, her pep talks, and most of all her always being there for me, love ya Stac!!

Happy Birthday Rielly!!

Our beautiful niece Rielly Nicole Coggins was born January 9 of 2004, she lived on this earth for a little over 5 months. She was the sweetest baby and perfect in every way. Rielly's presence touched so many in such a short time that she will never be forgotten.
She was so content just watching everyone. She always had the brightest smile. She died of SIDS. We knew she was special from the beginning.

Noelle loved her so much. What a great big sister she was to her.

and here is proud mom and dad, Kevin & Maria. Kevin is Don's youngest brother.

Benjamin came into the family on April 2, 2006, Rielly's little brother. I know that we all miss Rielly but I also know that we will see her again because families can be together forever.
